This series features the adventures of Moby Dick and Mighty Mightor. This series of shows are actually two separate cartoons in one show. Moby Dick is a friendly whale and adopted by two children.

Moby Dick and the Mighty Mightor (TV Series 1967–1969)

With Barry Balkin, Don Messick, Robert Resnick, Bobby Diamond. Another two-part Saturday morning cartoon from Hanna-Barbera. In the first part, Moby Dick is now a friendly whale, and a pet of young orphans Tom and Tub. Moby saves the two boys from the threats of sea-going villains. The second half follows the adventures of the titular Mighty Mightor.

"Moby Dick and Mighty Mightor" was a science-fiction animated series produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions that ran on CBS from September 9, 1967 to September 6, 1969. Despite Moby's name coming first in the title of the show, he had only one short per half-hour episode, sandwiched between two episodes of Mighty Mightor.

Moby Dick and The Mighty Mightor were one of my very favorites from that time period. I'm so happy that these cartoons are finally being released on DVD. Among my other favorites from that time period, The Herculoids, Shazzan, Space Ghost and Dino Boy from Hanna-Barbera.
